B.Sc.  Computer Science
About the Course : B.Sc. is a 3 year (6 Semesters) course. This course is designed for the students who want to pursue their career in the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics/Statistics. The course covers the major areas ranging from fundamentals to advanced concepts in the subjects. Along with these subjects students are exposed to literature and Indian Constitution.

Attendance : 75% attendance is a must for registering for the Bengaluru University examination.
Teaching Hours : Duration of Lecture hours I to IV Semester  5 Hours/Week/Subject. V & VI Semesters  6 Hours/ Week/Subject.
Project work in Computer Science :
IV Semester : Project using RDBMS package.
VI Semester : A full fledged project with full validations using C/C + + /Java/Oracle/ Visual Basic.
Academic Activities : Seminars / Workshops / Guest Lectures / Projects / Industrial visits / written tests and examinations.
Practicals : Practical sessions will be for 3 hours / week / subject involving lab work.
Examination : Bengaluru University examination will be held in the month of Nov/Dec for odd semesters and in the month ofApril/May for even semesters.

Internal Assessment : Internal marks are assessed based on the performance of the student in tests, assignments, seminars, attendance, punctuality, interaction relating to subject during class hours, approach in solving the problem  awareness, progress, creative thinking development and the overall attitude of the student.
Scheme of valuation : As per Bengaluru University regulations.
Promotion to next year : Students can carryover subjects to next higher semester.
Note : Student should complete the degree within 6 years from the date of admission to I semester.
Vacation :
From Odd to Even semester  15 days. From Even to Odd Semester  Approximately one month
Prospects of the Course : After the completion of course, students are eligible for higher studies or can take up professions of their level.
